Researching existing posters is essential in finding out what kind of information they put on for people interested in the exhibition.
The impression I get from this poster is minimalist, the inviting illustration draws attention along with the bold V&A identity however information about the actual exhibition is sparse, simply the title and dates the items range from a long with the dates that the exhibition is going to be there.
Compared to the previous poster this looks very busy, including a lot of things related to the exhibition which is understandable as it showcases design spanning from 1948-2012. In line with the other design it only includes basic information such as the dates and a link to their website; from this I am gathering an image to grip the public and a bold title is how the design usually works.
This poster takes a more interesting approach, using the subject of the exhibition to give the public a taste of the theme - buildings that take inspiration from animals so therefore I believe the design idea comes from how blue prints look for architects.
