SB7: Case Study 03 - Maray

Maray - Igloo

Maray brings a piece of Paris' 4th arrondissement to the heart of Liverpool's iconic Bold Street. They offer beautiful, exciting food served in intimate surroundings, and needed a memorable online presence and range of printed artwork to reflect their craft.

The Challenge
Maray is a hugely popular restaurant based in Liverpool, famous for its delicious small plates and exciting cocktails.

The Parisian inspired eatery came to IGOO in early 2016 wanting a new look that reflected their artistic presentation, close knit team and continued growth.

The Solution
To develop a more distinctive identity for Maray, we created a new streamlined logo, along with a full range of printed menus and exterior artwork for the restaurant.

We also developed a brand new website, that reflects the Maray’s passionate approach to their food, suppliers and team.

The home page that you land on features various pictures of food from the menu, with their bold logo laid above.

The site features the story about how/ why Maray was born and tells customers about their two restaurants.

Maray was born in the summer of 2014 out of a desire to bring back a piece of Paris’ 4th arrondissement to Liverpool.

We serve small plates inspired by the flavours of the Middle East alongside great cocktails and wine.

Our 47 cover Bold Street site is open for lunch and dinner and our 74 cover restaurant on Allerton Road is also open for Sunday roast at the weekends.

We look forward to seeing you soon.

The menus are simplistic and straight to the point, a great description of the ingredients and a clear price. The typefaces used are very legible and the black and white ensures it is easy to read - you don't get distracted by any fancy visuals - it is all about the food.
