SB7: Restaurant Brand Identity and Collateral Brief

Brief:

A restaurant/ bar entrepreneur needs a name and brand identity that will stand out on the busy Bold Street in Liverpool. The restaurants menu will be most vegetarian and inspired by local seasonal produce. Consisting of mainly small plates and colourful smoothies and cocktails, the restaurant will be a relaxing place for any occasion - be it a quick work lunch or a big birthday celebration.

Background/ considerations:
  • the brand identity must communicate the type of food the restaurant is providing, as well as connecting with the target audience
  • thoroughly research competitors in the area to make sure the branding isn't similar to them
  • the research can also help inform what kind of branding leads to a successful business venture
  •  explore at least 3 different routes for the brand identity i.e. logo, menu style; before settling on which is most successful
  • engage with peers for feedback and advice
Mandatory requirements:
  • there must be a thoroughly thought about colour scheme/ typefaces to use in connection with any promotional work
  • document all development work on blogs and present the brief in summary on no more than 6  a3 design boards
  • final outcomes must be mocked up digitally
Deliverables:
  • branding and design - logo, colour scheme, menu and other collateral 
  • web design
