SB3: Yummly App

Good:
  • many different options on how to login
  • the option to personalise your experience - with easy skip option
  • clear tool bar at the bottom of the app
  • clear option to search for
  • scan feature for ingredients - however only helpful if you don't know what something is, and why would you have it
  • your recipes section is clearly laid out in courses, allows the user to easily find what they are looking for
  • shopping list feature could be useful

Bad:

    • complicated list of options for email list
    • the getting to know options are a bit long, even if you skip people may get bored
    • the full screen being a dark food photograph is a bit off putting
    • cluttered home screen, too many options/ stickers/ large photographs
    • too many options to search, would leave the user feeling overwhelmed
    • the store? app that does too much
    • alot of filter options, user doesn't know where to look
    • shopping list, you could just use notes or a pad and paper - more app clutter
The personalisation is similar to what is planned for Appetite, there will however not be as many steps, just diet - allergies and skill level. The tool bar features four options, they are clear and although often overlaid a photograph the opacity is changed for legibility.
